Douglas A. Young is a nationally recognized forensic analyst and educator with over three
decades of experience in crime scene analysis and reconstruction. As Co-Founder of Veriscene
Forensics Inc., Doug leads with a commitment to scientific integrity, objectivity, and justice. His
extensive background spans work with critical incident teams, police departments, and the Cold
Case Foundation, where he provides expert analysis, case triage, and advanced forensic training.

Doug’s expertise includes crime scene reconstruction, forensic entomology, and bloodstain
pattern analysis. Doug is a certified Force Science Analyst and Forensic Entomology Technician.
He has held numerous leadership positions, including President of the Association for Crime
Scene Reconstruction and Vice-Chair of the AAFS Standards Board’s Crime Scene Consensus
Body. Doug is also a sought-after instructor, having led hundreds of training sessions for
professionals both domestically and internationally.
